Whether you have just finished the Practical DevSecOps Professional (CDP) course or you have successfully passed the certification exam, you will want to download and showcase your achievement. This guide walks you through every step, from earning the Certificate of Completion to claiming your official exam badge, plus troubleshooting tips for common problems.
Before You Start: Which Certificate Do You Want?
There are two separate documents, with different requirements.
Certificate of Completion
Requires all mandatory exercises and videos to be finished. Available regardless of whether you have taken the exam.
Certified credential from the exam
Requires only that you pass the exam. You do not need to complete the mandatory labs, videos, or any other course work to schedule, sit, or pass the exam. Finishing the mandatory labs is recommended preparation, not an eligibility requirement.
Certificate of Completion: Prerequisites and Download Steps
Meet the mandatory requirements
Before the system unlocks your completion certificate, you must finish all mandatory exercises and videos in the curriculum. These are clearly marked Mandatory in the learning portal. This applies to the Certificate of Completion only. It is not a requirement for taking the exam.
Why it matters: the platform uses completion data to verify that you have satisfied the core learning outcomes.
How to verify: after logging in, navigate to the Progress Tracker. A green check mark next to each mandatory item confirms it has been completed. If you are not sure which mandatory exercise is still outstanding, use the filter button on the course page.
Access the download page
Once the prerequisites are satisfied, open your browser and go to your course page in the training portal. Log in with the same credentials you use for the portal, locate the Certificates tab on the course dashboard, then click Download Certificate of Completion and save the PDF.
The certificate is dynamically generated, so if you change your profile after downloading, for example a name spelling, you will need to download the updated version again.
Exam Certificate and Badge: What to Expect After Passing
Receive the exam results and submit your ID
After you successfully pass your exam, you will receive an official notification email confirming that you have passed. The email will prompt you to submit a clear scan of your government-issued photo ID for verification. Your submission then enters the verification queue.
ID verification
Verification normally completes within 48 hours. Allow the full window before reaching out to support.
Receive the official email
Once verification is complete, an automated email is sent to the address you used during registration. It contains two attachments: the PDF certificate, which is your official proof of certification, and a badge file you can add to LinkedIn, GitHub, or your personal website.
Accept the badge
The badge is hosted on a third-party credential platform. Open the email and click the Accept Badge link, sign in or create an account on the badge provider, then follow the prompts to add the badge to your profile.
If you do not see the email
Check your spam and junk folders, since automated messages are sometimes filtered. Confirm that the email address in your training profile matches the one you are checking. If the email is still missing after 24 hours, contact support.
Troubleshooting the Drop File Upload Issue
When claiming a certification you may be asked to upload supporting documentation. Some users report that the Drop File button does not open the file selection dialog. Work through these steps in order.
Refresh the page, since a simple reload often clears temporary script errors.
Try a different browser. Chrome, Firefox, and Edge are fully supported. Disable any ad blockers or script blocking extensions.
Switch devices. If you are on a desktop, attempt the upload from a laptop or smartphone.
Clear your browser cache through Settings, then Privacy, then Clear browsing data, selecting cached images and files.
Use the Browse alternative. Some browsers show a hidden Choose File link next to the drop zone.
Contact support if none of the above works, including a screenshot of the issue.
Tips for a Smooth Certificate Experience
Complete mandatory items early. This is good preparation, and it means your Certificate of Completion is ready when you want it.
Keep your profile up to date, since your name, company, and contact details appear on the certificate.
Save a backup copy. Store the PDF in both a cloud drive and a local folder.
Leverage the digital badge by adding it to the Licenses and Certifications section of your LinkedIn profile.
